William A. Lewis Winter driving tips: Keeping you safe on the roads

With winter fastly approaching, drivers need to be prepared and vigilant when driving.
"It is vital that your vehicle is ready for winter driving. You should check the following, radiator, brakes, electrical system (e.g., lights, ignition system, battery, etc.), wipers, heater and defroster, oil, belts, hoses, and tires. If you notice any problems in any of the above parts, get them fixed or replaced before driving in winter conditions".
"Stay in control, drive slowly and stay alert. Always keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you - use the "two-second rule" or "four-second rule". Don't necessarily drive as fast as the posted speed limits as they are for normal driving conditions. Moreover, don't drive in a rush simply to reach your destination on time. It is better to be late than to not be. A Good driver will leave early to reach the destinations safely and comfortably". (Ezinearticles to read the full article visit: Winter Driving Essentials)
